The 5G technique is safe, the Radiation Protection Commission confirms

If you are concerned about the safety of using 5G technology, this is good news. The Guardian states that the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP) claims that the new mobile network standard is secure. This includes mmWave 5G, the most frequent version of the technology.

The Commission has recently updated its guidelines for exposure to electromagnetic fields (EMF) to take into account mmWave 5G tech. This is the first time that the guidelines have been updated since 1998, when the guidelines were first established.

Eric van Rongen, President of ICNIRP, said the new guidelines “will provide protection against all scientifically based adverse health effects due to exposure in the 100 kHz to 300 GHz range”.

The mmWave technology includes other 5G bands that fall under 6 and the low band categories fall under the original set of guidelines. This means that they are safe and do not require any additional safety measures.

As is common with new technology that involves radiation, many question the safety of using 5G. Finally, each new standard for mobile networks is followed by the use of higher frequencies. Now we can be sure that this technology is safe when it is available on the coast.
