The Elrond token – ERD – has increased by 100% in the last month

The Romanian project Elrond has had an impressive performance since its launch. It is a scalability-focused blockchain that has the most advanced implementation of Adaptive State Sharding. Through this, the Elrond network is able to deliver over 3,750 transactions per second.

A short history of the project

In 2018, Elrond enters into a partnership with online payment leader Netopia. At that time, Benjamin Mincu declares:

“Elrond focuses on helping people enjoy greater freedom and peace of mind when they are online and especially when making payments. By collaborating with Netopia and including ERD as a payment option, this new relationship will make thousands of consumers benefit from added security and enjoy faster and easier payments. ”

At the beginning of 2019, Elrond announced another collaboration with the Distributed Systems Research Laboratory (DSRL) within the Technical University of Cluj Napoca.

A little later, Binance Launchpad announces IEO Elrond, a round of financing in which the project aims to sell 5 billion ERD tokens for a total of $ 3.25 million.

At the end of 2019, one of the most important stages of the project was announced – the integration of the Elrond token in Samsung’s wallet.

The year 2020 brought new important developments. Samsung Galaxy S10 phones can be used to play Battle of Elrond, and Binance integrates the Elrond blockchain for the stable BUSD currency.

In May, Elrond also entered into a research and development agreement with the Global Digital Assets Corporation (GDAC).

Elrond token – price evolution

The price of the Elrond token reflected all these developments of the project – ERD has doubled in value in the last month.

Currently the Elrond ERD token is trading around $ 0.0024 or 26 satoshi.
