The first renderings of the unique Sanya Horizon hotel, designed by Büro Ole Scheeren, have appeared on the web. Work on it will begin this year, and will end in 2026, according to the plan. Location? Sanya, which is a popular tourist resort in China.
The hotel in digital graphics looks like a “vertically climbing jungle”, which results mainly in numerous vegetation distributed over six interconnected modules, forming a single skyscraper. Finally, the building is to be 160 meters high, the “grids” visible on its vertical walls will serve to shade the interior, and the design itself was created specifically to reduce the force of the wind hitting the facade.
The company boasts that each hotel room will have access to a private terrace, swimming pool and will offer an unobstructed view of the sea. Going into detail, the interior layout will be divided into one hotel on the lower levels and another hotel on the upper levels, which will also include some retail space.
