MOSCOW, 12 Oct — PRIME. U.S. natural gas production surged to a record 98.8 billion cubic feet per day in September, the Energy Information Administration (EIA) monthly short-term outlook said.
“We estimate that U.S. natural gas production in September hit a record high of 98.8 billion cubic feet per day. five years (2017-2021),” the report says.
However, natural gas inventories, despite their above-average growth, stood at 3.135 trillion cubic feet at the end of the month, 8% or 280 billion cubic feet below the five-year average, the report also notes.
U.S. liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports averaged 10.1 billion cubic feet per day in September, the ministry added. It is specified that the American terminals for liquefaction, except for Freeport, worked almost at full capacity.
