StoreDot is an Israeli company that recently boasted about the technology of automatic battery repair. Now it has announced that already in 2024 it will mass-produce battery cells, which after 5 minutes will provide up to about 160 km of range. However, this will only be the beginning.

StoreDot, next to Quantumscape, is one of the most promising companies in terms of the potential to revolutionize the battery market. Already in September 2021, it announced the production of the first cylindrical 4680 cell, which could recharge in 10 minutes. This time, she announced something much more important, because her plan for three generations of batteries – 100in5, 100in3 and 100in2.

These generations directly indicate the range in miles and the minutes that will have to be spent at the charging station in order to achieve these values. Already in 2024, mass production of 100in5 batteries is expected to start, i.e. providing up to 160 kilometers of range after five minutes of charging. After four years (in 2028), we are looking forward to the variant reaching this level after 3 minutes, and in 2032 after just 2.
