Alder Lake’s DRM issues have already been fixed in almost all games, only three left on the list

The hybrid architecture of Alder Lake processors introduced compatibility issues with some DRM, which prevented the launch of various games since some DRM took the processor as two different processors and activated its protection. After its launch, Intel shared an initial list of 52 games that had problems running with these processors and most of them used Denuvo, and now almost a month later, there are only three games left on that list, so there was a breakthrough in the aspect of compatibility.

For those who did not see it, that list included titles such as Mortal Kombat 11, Far Cry Primal, Need for Speed - Hot Pursuit Remastered, Bravely Default 2, Assassins Creed Odyssey and Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order. Also, titles had trouble starting with Alder Lake processors both in Windows 11 and Windows 10.

Luckily, these games were patched with new versions of the DRM, and according to the official support article, the list of games with compatibility problems was reduced to only three titles. The only games that still have issues with Alder Lake are: Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, Fernbus Simulator y Madden 22.

It is good to see that Intel took care of these compatibility issues quickly by working together with DRM and game developers to release updates to fix the problem. Although there was a temporary solution that involved disabling the E-Cores of the Alder Lake processors, it was clearly not the ideal solution, and luckily it did not take too long to wait for practically all the games on the market to be played without problem. Currently only the three mentioned games continue to have compatibility issues, although they are expected to receive new patches soon.

Are you planning to upgrade to Alder Lake now that most of the issues are fixed?
