AMD Radeon HD 7610M video card review: Specs – The AMD Radeon HD 7610M laptop graphics processor is a mid-range entry-level graphics card. The graphics card is based on the same chip as in the previous generation Radeon HD 6630M graphics card. But if we talk about the performance of both video cards, then the AMD Radeon HD 7610M lags far behind the Radeon HD 6630M video card.
This lag is due to different technical characteristics: firstly, this is the number of combined stream processors in the HD 7610M, 400 units, while the Radeon HD 6630M has 480. Secondly, the clock speed of the core and shader unit is 450 MHz versus 400 for AMD Radeon HD 7610M … Otherwise, there are no differences between them, so we can confidently say that the new graphics adapter for AMD Radeon HD 7610M laptops is nothing new. The video card still supports DirectX 11, OpenGL 4.1, OpenCL and DirectX Compute 11, and is released using the old 40nm. technical process. The graphics card supports AMD’s proprietary technologies HD3D Technology for playing 3D computer games on compatible laptops, AMD Eyefinity Technology for simultaneous display of images on multiple displays (up to six monitors are supported) and AMD EyeSpeed Technology for accelerating applications. Gaming performance is the same as the Radeon HD 6530M, for example games like Starcraft 2 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 run freely on medium graphics settings. Highly demanding games like Metro 2033 and Elder Scrolls V should only run on the lowest settings.
