AMD Radeon RX 6950XT, 6750XT, 6650XT graphics cards are coming in April

AMD is preparing to launch RDNA 2 cards renewedwhich are supposed to be manufactured in the same process node of 7nm de TSMC than current series GPUs Ryzen 6000 and series CPUs Ryzen 5000.

According to the reputed leaker Enthusiast Citizen of the forums chip bright (via VideoCardz), no less than three new RX 6000-series cards will go on sale on April 20 or 21: the RX 6950 XT, the RX 6750 XT, and the 6650 XT.: the RX 6950 XT, the RX 6750 XT and the 6650 XT.

Apparently, these new models have been upgraded with faster 18 Gbps GGDR6 memory, compared to the 16 Gbps memory used in standard RX 6000-series GPUs. Along with the upgrade would come a logical increase in price: 50 dollars more, added to the retail value. Although keep in mind that as the hand comes, the real market value can fluctuate.

Nvidia makes an “effort” to stabilize the market

On Tuesday, Nvidia has hinted that it might continue to make Ampere cards even after launching the RTX 4000 series. The company believes this will improve availability for gamers, but as we’ve seen with the relaunch of the RTX 2060 – whose stock soon disappeared – this was nothing more than fuel for the fire caused by the cryptomining.

On the other hand, it is likely that the series RTX 4000 be manufactured in the 5nm process node from TSMCwhile Ampere is based on the process node of 8 nm de Samsungso there is some hope that the overall supply of GPU from Nvidia.

In fact, prices for Nvidia and AMD models are now the lowest they’ve been since early 2021, but as the two companies prepare to release refurbished and next-generation cards, we may see this trend slow down. in the coming months.

The CEO of AMD, Lisa Hisbelieves that the chip shortage situation will improve in the second half of this year, but the truth is that it is too optimistic a prediction.

So far, Ampere GPUs dominate the Steam charts and are also the most requested parts by crypto miners, while AMD RDNA 2 GPUs barely appear on the charts. It will be interesting to see if the revamped RDNA 2 cards drive more players away from Team Nvidia. Although we doubt it.

And you, what do you think of the new improved cards of the RX 6000 series that AMD will launch?
