Battlefield 2042 “Update 4.0” promises over 400 fixes and improvements

Battlefield 2042 - Update 4.0

Battlefield 2042 will get a big update next week to the point that it should be called Battlefield 2043, or well, let’s not run so much, since we talk about fixing just over 400 bugs individual, in addition to making adjustments that affect the gameplay or quality of the game. As is now customary in the industry, this patch will solve many problems, but it will continue to leave many others to be resolved, and of course, all of this while waiting for these more than 400 fixes do not lead to breaking other sections of the game.

This update is critical and vital for the future of the game, and it is that as it has been shown in SteamDB, the game has already had less than 1,000 simultaneous players. Without going any further, yesterday the minimum was 917 simultaneous playerswhile the maximum were 1,608 playerswhich makes it clear that the game is on the verge of being officially dead, because once players experience long waits to find a game, in the end it will be a cascade of players looking for another title to entertain themselves.

“Battlefield 2042 Update 4.0 will be out next week, with patch notes coming out early that week as well,” said Kevin Johnson, Community Manager for Electronic Arts and DICE.

“There are over 400 individual fixes, bugs, and quality of life improvements coming next week.

Here are some of the main updates until the patch notes are released:

Balancing of vehicle warfare along with specific adjustments to the Bolte, to ensure infantry/vehicle gameplay remains interesting.

Also fixed in this update is the ADS bug when exiting a vehicle and reviving near obstacles.

Attachments will also receive an overhaul in the 4.0 update, with a focus on ensuring they feel unique and have an impact on your loadout choice and weapon play.

While this is just scratching the surface of Battlefield 2042 Update 4.0, we appreciate your patience in getting this update out.

Once again, we look forward to receiving your feedback when the update is released next week.”
