THE Dell XPS 15 and 17 new generation leaks online thanks to … Dell. The image you can see below has appeared on the company's official website. It seems that the "refresh" of the new generation will lead to rather profound changes – starting with the 17 "model, which has been missing in the range for some years now.
The news seems different. The design is even more streamlined, thanks to a further reduction of the edges of the screen, especially the lower one. And apparently there is no trace of USB Type-A ports here either, exactly as happens in the XPS 13 that we met at CES 2020. If nothing else, there is no shortage of USB-C, which are 4; nor is there a slot for memory cards, or an analog headphone jack.
So we can say that the XPS 15 and 17 look like larger XPS 13s – which would be a pretty obvious statement if it weren't for the fact that the current generation model is more like Precision. Dell XPS 15 may already hit the market this month; while by the 17th we may have to wait until this summer. Among the presumed specifications we include 10th generation Intel Core H CPUs, official for a few days (in particular we would go up to the Core i7-10750H, esa-core), 4K display with 16:10 ratio (3,840 x 2,400 pixels), up to to 32 GB of RAM and 1 TB of NVMe SSD. Aesthetically we see a much more "carbon style" look than previous generations.
