Displays in the AR set from Apple. The company is to revolutionize the market

We got to know new (unofficial) details about what displays in the AR set from Apple we can count on. All thanks to the latest report from Korea IT News, which confirms the rumors so far that Apple will reach for micro OLED displays.

Micro OLED, or displays in the AR set from Apple

According to the information, the micro OLED displays in the Apple AR set are directly embedded in the integrated circuit boards, and not (as usual) mounted on the glass. This will not only bring savings on the level of energy consumption, but also on the equipment used by this part. In addition, the difference between micro-OLEDs and OLEDs is huge in the field of pixel size, because they measure successively from 4 to 20 micrometers and from 40 to 300 micrometers.

In addition to the higher pixel density, micro OLED displays are more suitable in an AR set than Apple for a much faster response time and the ability to rely solely on battery power. If rumors are to be believed, these displays will have a sky-high resolution of up to 3,000 pixels per inch.

Last year, we also wrote that the AR kit from Apple will include two processors. One will be a SoC similar to the M1, even in terms of performance, and the other (less efficient) system that is currently unknown, which will be responsible for sensor management.
