The renewal of the NVIDIA GPU family for laptops could include not only a GeForce RTX 3080 Ti as rumored in the past few hours, but also a GeForce RTX 3070 Ti. This solution has also been found in the PCI Device ID database (code 24A0) as the new alleged flagship.
First entered with the code name GN20-E6, a comment to the same entry later clarified that the GPU is called “GeForce RTX 3070 Ti Laptop GPU“On board this solution should be a GPU GA104, even if the graphics chip is already the heart of both the current RTX 3070 and the RTX 3080: in the first case we have 5120 active CUDA cores, in the second 6144, the entire GPU. The gap to “place” the alleged Ti version is therefore 1024 units, narrow.
The arrival of the new GeForce RTX 3000 for notebooks is expected in first quarter 2022 with an announcement at CES 2022 in Las Vegas in January, the stage where we should also learn more about Intel’s notebook and desktop Arc GPUs.
