Description

Driver for Wi-Fi adapter manufactured by Atheros, which can be found in some modifications of the HP G62 laptop. Its main task is to receive and transmit data over wireless networks.

This Half Mini Card connects to the PCI-E slot of the motherboard and can be replaced if necessary. In some configurations of this laptop model, similar cards from Realtek and Broadcom are installed, which also support the 802.11a / b / g / n standard. The specification claims a maximum speed of up to 300 megabits per second, but in practice it primarily depends on the speed of the network to which the laptop is connected and the transmission distance. Also, the quality of the signal is adversely affected by obstacles encountered in the way: walls, windows, and so on, therefore, in reality, the data transfer rate differs from the declared one in the lower direction.
