On a personal basis, I played it a couple of months ago on the Xbox Series X (it’s an Early Access game), and it’s basically a cooperative shooter against dinosaurs where you level up improving your skills, weapons, and also unlocking new weapons and skins. It fulfills its mission, to entertain a good handful of hours.
