Dragonflight, the new WoW expansion is filtered

Blizzard itself has mistakenly leaked the future release of World of Warcraft: Dragonflightthe latest expansion to what is basically the best MMORPG game ever.

It was on the WoW website itself that by scratching the source code it was even found out that this expansion will be available in a version “basic“next to one”heroic” and “epic“, being logical to think that paying more will include additional content within the game (pet, objects, or the data reveals a mount of a dragon), while its official announcement would take place next April 19th.

Similar to how Bolvar was leaked before the Shadowlands announcement, an update to the official World of Warcraft website may have inadvertently leaked the name of the next expansion: the website’s public source code shows strings for pre-purchases of Dragonflight Base, Heroic and Epic Expansion. Also, the code points to a new but currently inaccessible URL, which would be the expected one for the launch of a new expansion: dragonflight.blizzard.com.

While not confirmed yet, it doesn’t sound like this is a late or incomplete April Fools’ Day prank, though we’ll get our confirmation once Blizzard officially announces it on April 19. What we can say is that we have previously looked at some coded items that appeared to be rewards from the Deluxe Expansion, specifically a mount, a pet, and some additional items with dragon-related spell effects, such as 9fx_drakemountemerald_buff_4219045, which hints at a dragon mount green or emerald

This expansion would thus arrive practically a year and a half after it was launched. World of Warcraft: Shadowlands, the last expansion seen to date, which offered very mixed reviews. Although it was the fastest selling PC game in history, is one of the worst deliveries in terms of ratings along with Battle for Azeroth. Since both expansions have a Metacritic rating of 3.2 out of 10 points and 2.7 out of 10 points respectively.
