Electronic Arts has announced the decision to remove all Russian teams from their games FIFA 22, FIFA Mobile, FIFA Online and NHL 22 as a protest against the war initiated by Russia against Ukraine, and the increase in hostilities against the countries of the European Union.

“EA Sports stands in solidarity with the Ukrainian people and, like so many other voices in the world of football, we call for peace and an end to the invasion of Ukraine.

In concert with our partners at FIFA and UEFA, EA Sports has initiated the processes to remove the Russian national team and all Russian clubs from EA Sports FIFA products, including FIFA 22, FIFA Mobile and FIFA Online.

We are also actively evaluating changes related to other areas of our games.

We will keep our communities updated on any action taken, and we thank players for their patience as we work through these updates,” the company said on its official FIFA Twitter account.

“Following the IIHF’s suspension of all Russian and Belarusian national and club teams from IIHF competitions, we will remove these teams from the NHL 22 in the coming weeks.

“We stand with the people of Ukraine and join voices around the world calling for peace,” the company said on the game’s official account.
