EK Releases Wood Finish CPU Liquid Cooling Block

EK, is one of the reference brands in what is custom liquid cooling, and today announced its new blocks to cool CPUs with wood finish. These new models are the EK-Quantum Velocity and EK-Quantum Magnitude Lignum.

With the blocks, the brand promises “a perfect symbiosis between natural wood and high quality modern cooling solutions”.

The design of the models are different. The Velocity, according to EK, has been redesigned and features just three pieces: the backplate, the mounting screws, and the water block. “It is screwed on the back, which allows a perfect and clean front aesthetic, without screws that disturb the harmony of the form” describes the brand.

The Magnitude Lignum is designed with an integrated three-dimensional structure in the shape of an X or H. According to EK, no mass production technique was used to build the Lignum models. The surface area of ​​this version is 50% larger compared to previous generations.

In terms of compatibility, EK’s new EK-Quantum Velocity and EK-Quantum Magnitude Lignum blocks are only compatible with Intel LGA 1700 and AMD AM4 sockets.

The company informs that the new blocks are manufactured in Europe and Slovenia and are already available for local pre-sale through distributors and official partners of the brand. Shipments are scheduled to begin in June 2022.
