Electric powered lift from the Czech Republic. The company Zuri showed its 8-propeller, improved creation

On the VTOL market, it is difficult to stick to the same project from the announcement to the start of production. In fact, today most of the companies that develop these powered lifts first show their design, and after a few (ten) months change it 180 degrees, while their work is still entirely on paper. A great example of this is the electric powered lift from the Czech Republic from Zuri, which was presented in its second generation.

Zuri 2.0, an electric powered lift from the Czech Republic with a new propulsion system

Zuri, rather than abandoning the original design from last year entirely, improved it significantly after it completed its overhang testing. Today, the eVTOL Zuri has its second generation and its biggest change compared to the original design is primarily a different drive system. Most importantly, this model is already intended for production.

From what we can see in the photos, the Zuri 2.0 looks like a small plane with two pairs of wings (the smaller set is on the tail), to which someone has attached a total of eight tilting propellers. On the one hand, it allows for vertical landing and take-off (after deflecting the propellers to the horizontal position), and on the other for efficient flight at a speed of up to 300 km / h using the wing lift after take-off.

Now, Zuri plans to use a hybrid drive in a configuration that will allow this VTOL to be included in the e-VTOL group. In a way, because although electric motors with access to on-board batteries were used, they will be recharged, if necessary, by a combustion generator, increasing the range to 700 km.

The passenger version will have four or five seats, and the Zuri 2.0 will have to be operated by a certified pilot. We also know that the company wants to convert the passenger version into a cargo version, which will probably include the removal of passenger seats. It is not known, however, whether this VTOL will be created, because it depends on whether the company will raise the appropriate funds.
