For most cyclists, winter means temporarily giving up your passion for the outdoors and focusing on maintaining your favorite bike. However, the Arosno company has proved that in winter a bicycle can still be a lot of fun, not on snow-free roads or even snow-covered slopes.

The E-Trace is a special electric snow bike

E-trace is nothing more than a special electric snow bike, for which the French company Arosno is responsible. This electric assist vehicle is the equivalent of a three-wheeler, except that it has two steering-mounted skis at the front instead of wheels, and an electrically powered Camso rubber track at the rear.

When pedaling in a half-sitting position, the user sets the rear sprocket in motion with a chain guided through the aluminum alloy frame. In this way, the user starts to drive the track with the help of a 250 W Sachs electric motor powered by a removable 48 V lithium-ion battery.

This combination provides support up to 25 km / h for a maximum of 45 kilometers on one charge with the option of extending the second kit. However, it depends on the driving style and the user himself, who will enjoy many attractions prepared by Arosno. The 45 kg E-trace features a 45 mm front suspension, Enviolo continuously variable transmission, a Magura MT5 eSTOP hydraulic disc brake, a 550-lumen Supernova Mini 2 Pro headlamp and a Supernova E3 rear light.

In other words, the Arosno E-trace is no kind of simple electric snow bike, and it’s a top-of-the-range gear that costs a full 6,690 euros. The first deliveries are not expected to take place until November 2022, so you still have a lot of time to think.
