The new Buzzraw X series of retro electric bikes was presented

The electric bike market has one thing in common with electric cars. I mean the fact that in both cases they are much more expensive than their “traditional” counterparts, although the producers are constantly trying to improve this situation. They do it inadvertently, launching newer and newer models on the market. This time it was Coast Cycles that presented another series of electric bikes.

The Buzzraw X series aims to conquer the world with three models, two of which are fully electric while the third uses only muscle strength. For obvious reasons, we will focus on this variant intended for the European market, although each of them has double amortization and stands out on the market with its unusual style. Both the suspension on the front fork and the suspension just below the seat provide 80mm of “comfort” on bumps, although I’m not convinced of their construction. I would immediately replace these exposed springs (straight from cheap bikes) with those sealed and offering a much wider range of operation.

However, cheapness did not affect the other components. It is worth distinguishing here a rough, powder-coated chrome frame, a long padded seat and disc brakes, not a typical “V-Brake”. Only the electric model X250 Buzzraw weighing 28 kilograms can fall into our hands. It features a lithium-ion battery with a range of up to 45 km after a 5-hour charge. The 250 W motor is traditionally located in the rear hub, ensuring a top speed of 25 km / h, while coping with uneven terrain, a 20% gradient. The whole thing is completed by the “dashboard” in the center of the steering wheel, informing the user about the speed, remaining energy and the current driving mode.

All new Buzzraw X bikes are currently pre-booked by reservation, but Coast Cycles is currently not providing any pricing or availability information.
