EPIC Games definitely adds their achievement system –

The truth is that Epic Games is doing very well although somewhat slow, and a system that people asked for finally arrives. EPIC Games definitely adds their achievement system coming next week.

Back in July we already announced that Epic Games I was adding an achievement system that was still in beta but was more or less functional. A achievement system very similar to what we can see on platforms PlayStation Network, Xbox Live O Steam.

Epic achievements are classified into four tiers based on their XP value, and the platinum achievement is awarded for earning 1000 XP in a game. These are the levels of Epic Achievements and the amount of additional XP you get for the Achievement:

  • Bronze = 5-45 XP
  • Silver = 50-95 XP
  • Gold = 100-200 XP
  • Platinum = 250 XP

Games with epic achievements have a new achievement details page where you can share and track your progress. This page describes all the Epic Achievements available for the game, shows your progress towards each one, and highlights the Epic Achievements that you are close to unlocking.

The epic achievements and the progress of your achievements per game now will show up in your library. You can also see all the available epic achievements on the game detail pages while browsing the store.

Epic Achievements FAQs

Didn’t Epic already have achievements?

Yes! We released developer achievement tools about a year ago; we’ll call those “developer achievements.” Those achievements are fully owned and operated by the developers. This new epic Achievements system adds additional benefits for players and brings them more in line with achievement systems on other platforms. We expect this new system to be released to all developers on the Epic Games Store in the coming months.

Are developer achievements going to disappear?

No. Developer Achievements will remain functional in games if the developers have previously integrated them and do not wish to participate in the new epic Achievements system.

What about developer achievements I’ve earned in the past?

If you’ve unlocked developer achievements, don’t worry, your hard work isn’t wasted. If a game that previously used developer achievements integrates the new Epic Achievements system, the progress carries over and you will automatically earn XP on the account.
