Do you remember how at the beginning of 2021 the famous container ship Ever Green blocked the Suez Canal for six days? It still belongs to the fleet of Evergreen Marine Corp., which also operates the Ever Forward container ship, and as you already know from the title, this cargo ship also had a slip-up. Fortunately, not as great as his older brother.
Container ship Ever Forward has now been freed from the sandbank and is heading towards the Suez Canal
Late Sunday evening, the container ship Ever Forward ran aground in the Chesapeake Bay. Fortunately, it did not wreak havoc on the global supply chain and in losses of tens of billions of dollars. Traffic in the bay does not appear to be affected, although passing ships have slowed down due to over-caution.
At the time of writing, the 333-meter-long container ship Ever Forward has been released from the sandbank. Before, it was not known how long it would remain there, and the US Coast Guard and other units monitored its hull for leaks while the crew worked to bring it back into service.

The reason Ever Forward ran aground is unknown, but suggested the setback lies with the operators who “missed the critical turn”. Fortunately, nature helped to solve the problem when the rising waves finally released the hull from the trap, and the container ship began to head towards … the Suez Canal (via ApNews).
