EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 Ti Kingpin, a power monster with two 16-pin connectors (1200W)

If 450 or even 600W dedicated to a single video card seems too much, at home EVGA I’m not of the same opinion: the new oneGeForce RTX 3090 Ti Kingpin Hybrid Gaming equipped with two new generation 16-pin PCIe Gen5 connectors to potentially draw up to 1200W. The card is therefore equipped with one more power connector than is required by the more traditional GeForce RTX 3090 Ti.

The newcomer is one of the two cards announced in the past few hours equipped with a similar power solution, the other theRTX 3090 Ti HOF (Hall Of Fame) OC Lab Edition by Galax. In the case of the EVGA, the RTX 3090 Ti Kingpin shares the same cooling system as its younger sister, a AIO liquid cooler with radiator from 360 mmwhich is accompanied by a generous heatsink completely in copper cooled by an active fan.

Not missing adisplay OLED rotatable with which to monitor the parameters of the card and view nice customizable animated GIFs. The rotation allows you to view the information both in the case of traditional and vertical installation. The outputs remain unchanged, with 3 DisplayPort outputsit’s a HDMI 2.1.

The PCB, on the other hand, has been completely renewed, also considering the new NVIDIA design which has made it possible to position all the memories on one side, simplifying management and cooling. The change was also made from an aesthetic point of view, adding some finishes in oro which immediately explain to whom the card is addressed.

This is not a product dedicated to gamers but rather a card produced in a few specimens to set new benchmark records, both in the standard configuration and under liquid nitrogen thanks to aBIOS with a very “relaxed” power limit. Currently EVGA has not yet announced the price and availability (as well as the factory frequencies), but we will hear more: the overclocker Vince “Kingpin” Lucido ready to put it to the test.
