First photos of top-of-the-line Intel Arc Alchemist GPU leaked

Almost a month ago some renders came to light that showed us what the reference design of the top-of-the-line Intel Arc Alchemist GPU would look like, and now the first real photographs that confirm this design have come to light.

As seen in the renderings, the graphic will be two slots wide, and its casing will be 100% silver, with some circles around it for its fans that “blur” when they come together in the center. Its fans will be black and will carry the Intel logo, and in theory when turned on they should light up blue thanks to the LEDs placed under the housing.

Another photograph also shows us its side and back, confirming that it will have an 8-pin and a 6-pin power connector, so its consumption will not be too high, and that its PCB will be relatively short, leaving room for more. air flow at the end of the heatsink. Curiously, this version does not have a backplate, although as it is a pre-production model, it may have been omitted to facilitate tasks.

It is not yet clear if Intel will market GPUs with this design or if it is only being used to distribute to the different partners to optimize their software, and in the market we will only see the proposals of the different partners such as Asus, Gigabyte, MSI, etc. . According to rumors, both options will be available, both reference and custom, as in the case of AMD, although Intel has not confirmed anything yet, so there is nothing clear yet.

The first desktop models in the Arc Alchemist line are expected to be announced in January during CES 2022, and hit the market during the second quarter. We will keep you updated on the news.

What do you think about this reference design for Intel Arc Alchemist GPUs? Would you like GPUs with this design to be marketed?
