GeForce RTX 3080 Ti and GeForce RTX 3070 Ti official: specifications and prices | Computex 2021

Nvidia officially announced the new video cards GeForce RTX 3080 Ti and GeForce RTX 3070 Ti that go to flesh out the patrol of solutions Ampere. The RTX 3080 Ti comes with not very different specifications than the RTX 3090, but with half the memory, while the RTX 3070 Ti stands between the RTX 3070 and the RTX 3080 making the most of the GA104 GPU.

The list prices indicated by Nvidia for the two cards are respectively 1199 and 599 dollars, with availability respectively from 3 and 10 June. Recall that the list prices of the RTX 3090 and RTX 3080 are equal to 1499 and 699 dollars, while that of the RTX 3070 is 499 dollars. Obviously, due to the well-known chip crisis, these lists have never been approached by these products, and so will the newcomers as well.

The RTX 3080 Ti is equipped with a GA102 GPU with 10240 active CUDA cores, 320 Tensor cores, 80 RT cores, 320 texture units and 112 ROPs. Compared to the RTX 3090, we observe a drop of around 2.5% in resources at the GPU level, while the increase against the RTX 3080 is around 17%. The GPU is flanked by 12 GB of GDDR6X memory at 9500 MHz (19 Gbps) on a 384-bit bus for a bandwidth of 912 GB / s.

The RTX 3090 has double the GDDR6X memory, the bus is the same, and the memory is set at 19.5Gbps for a bandwidth of 936.2GB / s. The RTX 3080 instead counts on 10 GB of GDDR6X memory at 19 Gbps on a 320-bit bus for a bandwidth of 760.3 GB / s. The TGP of the RTX 3080 Ti is identical to that of the RTX 3090, 350W, 30W more than the 320W of the RTX 3080. Finally, like the 3080 and unlike the 3090, this card lacks any NVLink connectors.

As for the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti, the board is equipped with a GA104 GPU with 6144 active CUDA cores, 192 Tensor cores, 48 ​​RT cores, 192 TMU and 96 ROPs. We therefore count 4% more CUDA core than the RTX 3070 and about 30% less than the RTX 3080. The card is accompanied by 8GB of GDDR6X memory at 19 Gbps on a 256-bit bus for a bandwidth of 608 GB / s. The TGP is of 290W, 70W more than the 220W of the RTX 3070. These specifications should allow the card to offer up to 50% more performance than the RTX 2070 Super, as stated by Nvidia.
