GeForce RTX 4000 graphics cards will arrive in September, with more than twice the performance of the RTX 3000

As we get closer to the launch of Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 4000 graphics cards, we learn more precise details about when they will arrive and the performance they will have, and now the famous leaker Greymon55 has provided new details on both aspects, revealing what to expect.

Starting with your arrival date, Greymon55 reaffirmed that they will arrive in Septembera date that has been mentioned for a long time and that apparently is still valid, so it seems that there will be no delays as happened on other occasions.

Greymon also mentioned that the RTX 4000 GPUs could have up to 144 Streaming Multiprocessors versus Ampere’s 82, marking a 75% jump in the number of SMs. Adding its possible frequency of up to 2.5GHz, it is estimated that the RTX 4090 would have about 90TFLOPs FP32 compared to 40 that the missing RTX 3090 Ti has, which added to the architectural improvements will allow the RTX 4090 to offer more than double the performance than the RTX 3090, absolute madness.

Considering that AMD also plans to double or even more than double the performance of the RX 6900 XT in its RX 7000 lineup, the end of this year will be more than interesting in terms of GPUs. Unfortunately Intel will not join the “ultra-enthusiastic segment” party until 2024, so for now there will only be two companies that will compete for the crown.
