Gigabyte launches the world’s most powerful mini PC, the Brix Extreme

Gigabyte says that the new mini PC Brix Extreme It is the most powerful of its kind in the world. If we are talking about a Windows mini PC, the Brix Extreme seems to defend what Gigabyte claims, given that it has the latest processor from Intel and is quite loaded in terms of connectivity.

Coming in the second quarter of this year for a price yet to be determined, Gigabyte’s new Brix Extreme is poised to pack a lot of computing power into a compact size (44 x 134 x 139mm). This mini PC is also designed to be quiet, which according to Gigabyte’s internal tests, it was able to maintain noise levels below 30 dB under load and reached a maximum of 35 dB with Overclock mode on the CPU.

Inside are Intel’s 12th Gen Core mobile processors, from an i3 6C/8T to an i7 chip with 12C/16T. Although the RAM capacity is not specified, the mini PC has dual-channel DDR4 memory at 3200 MHz. There is no discrete GPU option (unsurprisingly), but Gigabyte says that it has a 10 percent increase in performance. of Intel Iris Xe graphics over previous models.

Additionally, Brix Extreme can connect with up to four 4K displays at 60Hz. and supports a resolution of up to 8K, thanks to the HDMI 2.1 port. Buyers will be able to add an additional 2.5″ SSD/HDD if they opt for the more expensive variant, and Gigabyte will also sell an upgrade kit that adds an additional m.2 2280 slot, LAN port, on top of the 2.5 in the mini PC, comes with Ethernet and Wi-Fi 6E connection and an RS232 port.

To accommodate it anywhere, the Brix Extreme will be included with a VESA mount to put it on the back of a monitor. There’s no word yet on how much this mini PC will cost, but we won’t find out when it’s available later this year.
