Global GPU production is expected to increase by 10% during 2022

Although 2021 was a record year in terms of graphics card sales, the offer was not enough to cover the enormous demand there is, and for this reason during 2022 we will try to further expand said offer, increasing the production of GPUs by approximately 10 %.

While 10% would be a good number if it came from just AMD and Nvidia, considering that Intel will also be entering the dedicated graphics card market, this increase is not as large as expected, and possibly indicates that Intel is not he plans to release a large number of cards under his first series. The company has already warned on multiple occasions that with its first generation it will not seek to obtain a large market share, but will seek to listen to the opinion of users regarding its drivers and software to improve them prior to the launch of the second generation of Intel Arc graphics ” Battlemage”, with which they will seek to compete against the GeForce RTX 4000 and Radeon RX 7000 at the end of the year.

It will be interesting to see how the situation evolves with the arrival of the new Intel graphics plus the launch of the new RTX 3050 and RX 6500 XT, although we really doubt that significant changes will be seen in the market. The demand still from the gaming public is still really high, and the shortage of chips is still so serious that even the ink cartridges are missing, so we do not believe that we will see reductions in price or enough supply to cover the great demand there is. We will keep you updated with any news, so stay tuned to HD Technology.

What do you think about this increase in the global production of GPUs? Do you think it will help ease the situation a bit? We doubt it.
