Have you seen Ray-Tracing everywhere? Then watch Doom: Ray Traced with drops of 95%

Real-time ray-tracing, which hit games thanks to NVIDIA a few years ago, is often a simple and fast way to significantly change a given game in terms of visuals. Often it is not about evolution, but even revolution, which is especially true of older titles (such as Minecraft), so the question remains, how will this graphic fairy tale perform in Doom: Ray Traced?

An unofficial modification provided the world with Doom: Ray Traced

Doom: Ray Traced is different from other similar modifications, and for good reason it has not gained such publicity as Quake RTX or Minecraft RTX. It is the result of the work of an independent developer and therefore does not have official support from any of the companies, and in addition it is not particularly versatile, because it only works with GeForce RTX cards.

It all comes down to a mod that you can download from Github and then paste the Doom.wad file into the extracted files. The game itself must of course be purchased well in advance, and if you want to test the effect on your own skin, then you have to be ready for a massive performance blow.

I am talking about a 950% drop in liquidity on the GeForce RTX 3090 card. Another thing is that this liquidity drops from 5,000 to 239 frames per second, so it’s not that there is nothing to complain about. Effect? Quite amazing, because with ray-tracing, Doom looks like a modern game stylized on the iconic ones.
