Intel has premiered its dedicated graphics architecture with the launch of Intel ARC for laptops. The company will bring three lines, the ARC 3, the ARC 5 and the ARC 7, ranging from thin and light laptops to performance-focused machines. The Intel ARC lineup includes support for technologies such as Ray Tracing acceleration, hardware-accelerated artificial intelligence through Intel XeSS, and AV1 encoding and decoding support.
Intel has separated its range into three families: the ARC 3, for lightweight devices with gaming performance, the ARC 5 for performance-focused products, and the ARC 7 for enthusiast devices, with the graphics chip pushed to the limit of its implementation. . The ARC 3 line is the first to arrive, already available for pre-order on select models, while the ARC 5 and 7 lines arrive in mid-June.
If we look at the references, we have a total of five models announced, initially. In the entry line, the A350M and A370M chip were presented, with a consumption between 25 and 50 W, showing the potential for implementation in ultra-thin devices. The memory used is 4 GB of GDDR6 on a 64-bit memory interface, with a total of 6 and 8 Xe cores and also 6 and 8 Ray Tracing units, respectively..

And finally the ARC 7 line makes the maximum implementation of the most powerful Intel ARC chip for laptops, with 32 Xe cores and 32 Ray Tracing acceleration units, up to 16GB GDDR6 on a 256-bit interface. and a consumption of 150W, something only available in models for enthusiasts, so we should see this chip in more powerful and performance-focused laptops.
The company has released some performance results, but without comparing it to rivals GeForce and Radeon (we were told in the Q&A session that they would leave it up to the analysts themselves), directly comparing it only to the level of performance available. in its best graphics integrated into the current CPU.
In addition to the graphics and acceleration potential that these powerful laptops have, Intel announced that they will have Intel XeSS technology, which already has support for 20 titles among which are Ghostwire: Tokyo, Death Stranding, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Hitman 3, GRID Legends, Chorus, Bloodhunt, among others.
