HTC has just published its 2018 financial report. However, there are no surprises – it is still very bad.
This year’s revenue was NT 23.74 billion ($ 769 million). This is a decrease by 66.36% compared to 2017. This is the seventh consecutive year that the company’s revenues have been declining. It is worth adding here that revenues in December amounted to NT 1.35 billion (only $ 44 million), which is a decrease of 8.25% compared to the previous year.
On December 24, the Tmall store removed all HTC products which resulted in speculation about bankruptcy. However, an employee of the company claims that HTC will continue to create new smartphones and they will be available in stores in 2019. It seems that the company has big problems even with stores, which does not bode well for solving its problems.
