High-end GeForce RTX 2080 Ti models on the horizon

High-end GeForce RTX 2080 Ti models on the horizon

High-end in an even more “hajendowy” edition. The latest leaks clearly indicate that some of the most advanced, overclocked and… expensive variants of the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti card will soon debut on the market. I am talking exactly about masterpieces from Colorful, MSI and ZOTAC, although only the former decided to make a small announcement.

Colorful GeForce RTX 2080 Ti RNG

Colorful, not very well received on our market, is preparing its RNG series for both the RTX 2080 Ti and RTX 2080 models. For now, however, details about the former have been revealed, so I will focus on it. Compared to the Founders Edition, it is of course different from the clocks that reach 1740 MHz out of the box. I will leave you to evaluate the design, but you must know that this combination of a huge heat sink, probably divided into two blocks connected by heat pipes with a cooling cover slightly extending beyond the laminate with three fans, takes up the entire 2.5 slots. The power supply for this beast is based on three 8-pin connectors, and on the side of the video outputs there are three DisplayPorts, single HDMI and USB type C. The whole is completed with a BIOS activation switch with predefined OC settings, original backplate and a 2-inch LCD screen compatible with the application iGame Zone II.

MSI GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Lightning Z

Another high-end RTX 2080 Ti is also being prepared by MSI in its phenomenally presented Lightning Z series. So far we have not received photos of this model in all its glory, so we have to be content only with laminate. This one will be of course proprietary, and additionally developed by LN2 overclockers. Hence the extensive, 19-phase VRM section, which again draws energy from three 8-pin connectors. It will probably get a slightly modernized heat sink from the GTX 1080 Ti Lightning Z model, which will be cooled by three fans. In terms of clocks, we only know that in the alleged test it hit 2475 MHz in turbo mode.

ZOTAC GeForce RTX 2080 Ti ArcticStorm

At the end, I left a real treat, i.e. a launched model with a proprietary water block from the manufacturer. ZOTAC has taken the matter seriously, creating such a masterpiece that includes all components that are sensitive to temperature perception with numerous illuminated inserts:

In this case, we already lack any information … except that it is to debut at CES (January 8-11)
