Huawei officially ends its cooperation with Leica

Yesterday we learned that Xiaomi has started a long-term partnership with Leica, and today we have received confirmation that the photo legend will no longer cooperate with Huawei.

This news is unlikely to surprise anyone, because it has already been said that the Huawei P50 and 50 Pro are to be the last smartphones that Huawei cooperated with Leica. This partnership began in 2016 and lasted until 2021, and the last fruits of it were the above-mentioned flagships. However, it is worth mentioning that officially none of the companies has announced the end of cooperation. That is why the Android Authority website decided to find out what the situation looks like.

Huawei P50 Pro

The formal answer was short and unequivocal:

We can confirm that the cooperation between our two companies [Huawei i Leica] ended on March 31.

This means that the cooperation has ended this year, but it actually does not change anything, because anyway, we will not see any other Huawei smartphone with the Leica logo and improvements. Will the Chinese producer decide on another partnership, this time with another photographic giant? Hard to say.
