Instagram is definitely a company very important in the Facebook strategy. The continuous change of features (or their addition) as well as strategies to reconcile users and advertisers / brands has brought about a remarkable revolution in its structure (just think of the management of the Explore tab).
How come there is no Instagram app for Apple iPad?
With the need to reach the largest number of users it is almost obvious to think that Instagram and Facebook want to be available on most devices. How come then there is no native app for Apple iPad, one of the most popular tablets on the market?
To explain it was Adam Mosseri (CEO of the company) during a Q&A session. Despite the interest in creating a native application for Apple iPad, the company has few people and a lot to do to afford "waste time" to develop it.
This means that currently and probably for the next few months (or maybe even more) users of iPad they will have to find alternative methods, such as the website, to be able to browse Instagram from their branded tablets Apple.
