The slide in question – which, we reiterate, is not official – confirms that the Core i9-10980HK will be an 8 core / 16 thread chip, capable of going up to 5.3 GHz in Boost mode thanks to the new Intel Thermal Velocity Boost technology. No details on the base frequency which, according to current information available, should instead be 2.4 GHz.
Recall that Core i9-10980HK will use the same production process as the other Core 10a gen "Comet Lake" models, that is a further optimization of the 14nm node which, unless further refresh, should be the last of the series. The CPU will also be equipped with integrated graphics (probably Intel UHD 630), will offer Dual-Channel DDR4 support and will have a TDP set to 45W.
The new Intel Comet Lake-H processors are expected to debut later this week.
