Intel launches the Arc A380 in China for around 150 euros, here are the official specifications

Only yesterday we showed you the primo desktop MSI equipped with Intel Arc A380 video card. Today comes the official launch from Intel: the new video card is an entry-level proposal that is an alternative to Radeon RX 6400 of AMD with a rather low cost of about 150 euros at the exchange rate.

The official price for China, in fact, amounts to 1030 yuan taxes included, which correspond to the aforementioned approximately 150 euros. This is a decidedly affordable price, especially considering the period, which offers a valid alternative to the more famous Radeon RX 6400, compared to which according to Intel can offer up to 25% more performance per yuan.

The card is equipped with 8 Xe computing unitsthat is the complete equipment of the GPU ACM-G11 on which it is based. This will have a base clock of 2000 MHz and will be joined by 6 GB of memory GDDR6 a 16Gbps. Of course, unlike the mobile variants, the desktop A380 will have a memory BUS a 96 bit for a bandwidth greater than 192 GB / s.

Intel also unveiled an infographic with benchmarks made on some of the most popular competitive games such as Apex, Fortnite, PUBG o Dota 2. The fps vary between 70 e i 230 with a resolution Full HD and the detail level set to medium.

Interesting is the feature set offered on a card in this price range, which includes full compatibility with libraries DirectX 12 Ultimate and consequently also with the real-time ray tracing, although it remains to be assessed how much the RT experience is actually usable on the VGA in question. Plus, starting this summer, it will also be available XeSSIntel’s super sampling technique that should also be compatible with GPUs from different manufacturers.

Present support for AV1 hardware coding and to encoding and decoding HEVC e H.264. In the end, Xe Display Engine allows you to manage up to quattro monitor 4K a 120Hzup to two 8K monitors at 60Hz and up to 360Hz refresh rate on 1080p and 1440p resolutions.

The board will be accessible from this month to both DIY (Do It Yourself) users and OEMs, with the likelihood that the latter will also offer customized versions to be sold outside of their pre-assembled systems. The distribution will expand globally by the summer.
