Rumors about the debut at CES 2019 have just been denied. Intel’s CEO revealed during an analyst meeting last week that we will wait a little longer for the next player in the graphics card market. Admittedly, 2020 does not seem so distant, but the company may have a small problem due to such a release date. I am talking mainly about the upcoming Navi cards from AMD in 2019, which will certainly (at least let’s hope so) will try to suppress Nvidia with its own models.
Krzanich also revealed that the company plans to shake up the consumer and professional market. So you can see here the strategy used, among others by Nvidie. So let’s hope that Raja Koduria, having previously abandoned the colors of AMD, will bring Intel success, because two GPU manufacturers on the market simply do not bode well. Both in terms of prices and technological development itself.
It is also worth recalling Intel’s earlier attempt to enter the dedicated graphics card market. I am talking exactly about the Intel 740 family, which unfortunately was blown to the blades by 3DFX and Nvidia Riva 128 and TNT.
