Autel Robotics can boast of the unique Dragonfish drone, which was presented at CES 2022. This uniqueness is due to the fact that it belongs to the segment of unusual eVTOL, which, after taking off vertically, can change their flight mode to that characteristic for an airplane.
For Autel Robotics, the Dragonfish drone is the first project to incorporate the mechanics of the Boeing Osprey military aircraft. Thanks to its advanced configuration, it is able to take off and land vertically, like a helicopter, but once it rises to the desired height, it starts turning its wing-mounted propellers to take advantage of the lift.

On the feasibility side, the Dragonfish drone can fly for 120 to 180 minutes at a maximum speed of approximately 108 km / h, ascend to a maximum altitude of 6,000 km, and carry up to 7.8 kg payload. It can also be configured depending on the needs for specific missions.
As part of an automated platform and potential automated drone service, Dragonfish is able to take off in 5 seconds and go to its destination. There, he can then perform e.g. a reconnaissance, using a 4K camera with 20x optical zoom. Additionally, it has access to a multispectral camera.
