Kingston Launches New Enterprise NVMe SSD for Data Centers

Kingston announces the availability of the DC1000M, a new NVMe PCIe U.2 SSD for data centers. Designed to support a wide variety of data-intensive business workloads, such as cloud computing, web hosting, high-performance computing, virtual infrastructure, artificial intelligence, and deep learning applications, the DC1000M joins the newly NVMe DC1000B boot drive announced, VMware Ready SATA SSDs DC500 series and DC450R drive to form the most comprehensive suite of enterprise data center storage solutions on the market.

DC1000M is a powerful NVMe drive for data centers. Customers looking to migrate from SATA / SAS SSDs to NVMe will enjoy a similar implementation, but with much faster data rates and much lower latency. The unit offers high storage capacity and best-in-class business performance. DC1000M incorporates a high-performance PCIe NVMe Gen 3.0 x4 interface on standardized platforms, with 540,000 random read IOPS and over 3GB / s of performance. The DC1000M is designed to meet strict quality of service requirements to ensure predictable random I / O performance, as well as predictable latencies across a wide selection of server workloads.

The popular U.2 (2.5 ″) form factor design works seamlessly with the latest generation of servers and storage arrays using PCIe and U.2 backplates. It can be hot plugged, making the problems of usable PCIe storage a thing of the past. Furthermore, the unit includes business features such as comprehensive data path protection, on-board power loss protection (PLP) and telemetric monitoring for increased data center reliability. LThe DC1000M drive is available in 960GB, 1.92TB, 3.84TB and 7.68TB capacities. and it is backed by a five-year limited warranty, free technical support and Kingston’s legendary reliability.
