Las NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 LHR are fully unlocked to mine

More than a year after LHR cards were first introduced, crypto mining can now benefit from the full potential of NVIDIA RTX 30 LHR GPUs. This has been announced today by the developers of NiceHash.

The LHR cards were intended to reduce the performance of NVIDIA RTX 30 cards when mining Ethereum and other cryptocurrencies by up to 50%. Interestingly, NVIDIA’s LHR algorithm was first unlocked by NVIDIA itself, after the company accidentally released a driver. NVIDIA quickly fixed all of this and released a second version of its RTX 3060 GPU. Since then, all RTX 30 cards are LHR, with the exception of the RTX 3090 series.

NiceHash developers were among the first to unlock 70% of the LHR algorithm. This was achieved in August last year. PTherefore, it took another 9 months to discover the LHR blocking mechanism and turn it off completely. Today, the software unlocks 100% for all RTX 30 cards with LHR, except for the RTX 3050 and RTX 3080 12GB, which may feature a new type of LHR algorithm that could not be hacked yet.

“We are very happy to tell you that NiceHash QuickMiner is the first mining software that fully unlocks (100%) LHR cards!” says NiceHash.

“Now you can earn more profit than any other mining software on the market if you are using LHR graphics cards with NiceHash QuickMiner. NiceHash Miner support is coming. This also makes it more advantageous than mining directly to a pool, as other software is not capable of unleashing the full capacity of your hardware.
