MB520 ARGB, MB511 ARGB, K500 ARGB and TD500: now with ARGB

MB520 ARGB, MB511 ARGB, K500 ARGB and TD500: now with ARGB

The manufacturer of gaming boxes for PC, Cooler Master, has decided to renew 4 of its models, replacing the fans which are standard, for new models that use ARGB lighting. Not only this, but the manufacturer has chosen to set aside the solid fronts that these box models had in an original way, replacing them with new ones front made of metal grid, which will help to increase the air flow inside the boxes and, therefore, their internal cooling.

We already have a fairly long temper in which we have seen that the manufacturers of gaming boxes have opted more for aesthetics, and less for the thermal efficiency of this. Due to this, we have seen how the models with the closed front have proliferated, in which the air inlet is made by lateral gills, with the consequent decrease in the cooling capacity of the internal components of the PC.

Now, Cooler Master wants to change this trend with several of his gaming box models. Specifically, we are talking about the series MasterBox and its models MB520 ARGB, MB511 ARG, K500 ARGB Y TD500 Mesh ARGB. All of them have been replaced the front panel of transparent plastic that they used in an original way, by a grid, painted in black color, which allows a greater flow of air into the box, while allowing to see, with enough clarity, the new ARGB lighting of the new fans that mount these boxes.

The new Cooler Master gaming boxes will be identical to models without ARGB

The second important change that the new Cooler Master boxes will bring will be the replacement of the RGB fans of the original models, with others that will now have ARGB lighting, which will increase the possibilities of configuration and customization of the lighting of these boxes. This fan lighting system is compatible with the control software of the most important motherboard manufacturers on the market, such as the ASUS AURA SYNC, the GIGABYTE RGB Fusion 2.0 and the ASRock Polychrome SYNC.

Removing these changes, the 4 Cooler Master models are completely identical in their internal and external distribution, to the previous models in their catalog. This means that the new models are nothing more than a important face wash of the original models that, on the other hand, were quite competent models, each of them in its corresponding segment. Including the ability to ride tower type heatsinks, more than 160 mm high inside these boxes.

It is interesting that a manufacturer as important as Cooler Master, You have decided to take this step in regards to your range of gaming boxes. After all, I don't think it's hard for you to remember your line of HAF boxes several years ago, characterized by its impressive thermal performance when cooling the internal components of the users' PC.

At the moment, only the price of three of the four new Cooler Master models:

  • MB511 ARGB: 85 euros
  • MB520 ARGB: 85 euros
  • TD500 Mesh ARGB: 134 euros
