British McLaren has decided that the 600LT coupe is worthy of turning into Spider versions and being able to drive with or without a roof. Most importantly, however, a few novelties did not make the 600LT Spider any worse on the road.
McLaren’s 600LT model was presented at the Goodwood Festival of Speed last year and it was an important moment as it is the fastest street vehicle from this group so far. Its successor to the 570S is able to deliver 592 horsepower thanks to the 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 engine. On the torque side, there is a total of 619 Nm, which translates into 2.8 seconds to 96 km / h and 8.2 seconds to 199.5 km / h. In the Spider 600LT release, it lost only 0.2 seconds in acceleration to almost 200 kilometers per hour, which is quite a phenomenon.
All because the 600LT Spider has not been strengthened, and the additional weight of 49.98 kilograms does its job. The very mechanism that unfolds the roof was hidden behind the heads of passengers in such a way that it left room for two pillars and a small glass at the back. The rest of this version is consistent with its ancestor. The modernization, however, did not affect the ground pressure, so the ability to steer remained unchanged. The interior hides a leather trim with carbon racing seats straight from the McLaren P1. Customers can also experiment with additions, resigning from, inter alia, with air conditioning or audio.
There won’t be many of these, however, as the availability of the McLaren 600LT Spider will be limited. You can order it right now and the price starts at $ 265,500.
