Microsoft Edge has become the second browser in the world, but it is thanks to Google?

It seems to be bearing fruit of the bet Microsoft the new version of Edge-based Chromium. The Microsoft browser is indeed now the second most popular web browser on desktops based on usage: NetMarketShare fact indicates that Edge owns 7.6% of the marketWhile Firefox is falling with a share of 7.2%. Domina ranking, as usual, Chrome, With 68.5% of the shares. The reasons for the growth of Edge are not official, but it is likely that Google has to do.

First, Microsoft Edge is the default browser Windows 10 (the Pro version to 4.99 € on Amazon!)However this did not allow him to soar above in-use charts, indeed. The special GUI "Modern" has the unsecured much popularity, with users who like the versatility (or rather extensions) Chrome innovative approach to Edge. For this reason Microsoft has decided to shelve the modern UI and replace Edge with a browser-based version of Chromium.

With a stroke the Microsoft browser has gained so Universal compatibility, speed and a great range of installed extensions, Swapping it all with a pinch of efficiency. Microsoft's native solution for Windows 10, in other words, is stable and reliable enough for the majority of users, who may no longer be forced to seek an alternative solution. Difficult, however, carry on the long-term.

Google, for that matter, should not be very concerned by the new Edge numbers. While Edge encourages users to make use of Microsoft services, it uses Chromium, which is the same engine on which Chrome is based. In other words if Edge developers would catch on more and more often they test and optimize their sites on Chromium, Shifting the emphasis from the optimization of alternative browsers such as Safari or Firefox.
