MOSCOW, 13 Oct – PRIME. Possible new lines of Turkish Stream will use Russian-made turbines, Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller said.
“I won’t say now how many of them there will be, threads, we must first decide, of course, on the volume. But, in any case, these are new gas transmission capacities through the Black Sea, in the Turkish Stream corridor, with the creation of a trade hub on the border of Turkey and the border of the European Union… As for the turbines, of course, these will be Russian-made turbines,” Miller said on Channel One.
He noted that the company is “quickly building” offshore gas pipelines and recalled that the company was completing the construction of Nord Stream 2 at the last final stage without the technological and technical participation of foreign partners.
Turkish Stream is a gas pipeline from Russia to Turkey across the Black Sea. The design capacity is 31.5 billion cubic meters of gas per year. Gas is supplied via Turkish Stream to Turkey and transit through Turkish territory to the countries of Southern and South-Eastern Europe.
