Nvidia Geforce GTX 1650 from MSI, Asus and Gigabyte pictured

Since the beginning of 2019, Nvidia’s graphics architecture Turing has gradually moved further down in the price and performance classes. In January, the Geforce RTX 2060 was released, which is equipped with the least powerful Turing circuit with hardware for hardware learning and raytracing. This graphics card has since been followed by two models in the Geforce GTX 1600 series, and the new addition Geforce GTX 1650 is expected to make its debut soon.

In recent weeks, specifications for the latter graphics card have found their way onto the web, along with images of models from Gainward, Palit and Zotac. Videocardz is now publishing images depicting ten more graphics card models, with Asus responsible for three of them. Four of the cards are made by Gigabyte and the remaining trio is signed MSI.

The images belonging to Gigabyte’s graphics cards originate from a Chinese retailer, which is why they all come with information about physical dimensions and clock frequencies. The model that will be part of the Gaming OC family has the most lavish design, where dual fans accompany heat pipes and heat sinks in aluminum, which allows a turbo frequency of 1,850 MHz – 11 percent above the assumed reference level previously reported.

The graphics card in the Windforce OC family is also equipped with two fans and extra power connector. The range of picture connections is also identical and consists of a Displayport and three HDMI. The associated heat sink is a thinner aluminum construction and the turbo frequency is 1,785 MHz, or just over 7 percent higher than the reference design.

In addition, Gigabyte offers a graphics card in Mini ITX design with a length of 152 mm, where a single 80 mm fan accompanies the aluminum heat sink. In addition, a model in the OC series is listed where again double fans are on the menu. For the latter two cards, however, a modestly increased clock frequency, scrapped 6-pin connector and only three picture connections apply.

MSI also shows a shrunken version of the Geforce GTX 1650 in the Aero ITX OC series, which is flanked by a model in the Ventus XS OC family. Common to both is the lack of extra power supply and the three picture connections, consisting of HDMI, Displayport and DVI. The Ventus XS OC card comes with dual fans, while the smaller model only has one.

The more lavish Gaming X series gets a Geforce GTX 1650 model, where MSI’s Twin Frozer coolers with dual fans are used. In addition to a 6-pin connector for power supply, it is noticeable that the DVI connection has been ironed on the base, in favor of an extra Displayport connection.

Asus Asus ROG Strix Gaming OC

Asus is expanding the Phoenix OC and Dual OC series, and in both cases these are relatively simple models with one and two fans, respectively, that keep a heat sink in aluminum cool. The three picture connections consist of HDMI, DVI and Displayport, while the power supply is via the PCI Express connection.

Finally, a Geforce GTX 1650 is part of Asus’ flagship series ROG Strix Gaming OC, where integrated RGB lighting accompanies the dual fans and heat sink with heat conduction tubes. The four picture connections consist of dual HDMI and the same number of Displayports.

Apart from the Gigabyte models, no new information is revealed about the specifications of the Geforce GTX 1650, but all packaging confirms 4 GB of GDDR5 graphics memory. Previous data suggest that the graphics circuit will be TU117 with 896 CUDA cores, with base and turbo frequencies of 1,485 and 1,665 MHz respectively in reference design. The same information is rumored about the launch on April 23, but whether this is true remains to be seen.
