Nvidia Introduces Inno3D P102-100 Cryptocurrency Accelerator

The manufacturer of video cards Nvidia is preparing to release a special solution for mining – the Inno3D P102-100 accelerator, which is an analogue of the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti gaming video card. This is reported by Hi-Tech.Mail.Ru.

The Nvidia P102-100 GPU received 3200 CUDA cores with a base frequency of 1582 MHz. The card comes with 5GB of GDDR5X memory clocked at 11Gbps and a bandwidth of around 400GB / s.

For mining, this means about 47 MH / s in Ethereum, 660 Sol / s in ZCash and 879 H / s in Monero. A two-slot cooler is responsible for cooling the accelerator; the presence of a VRM heatsink is also possible.

The card supports PCIe Gen1 x4 interface but comes with a regular PCIe slot. The card will be 21.5 cm long, 12.5 cm wide and will take up two slots. The card will additionally have two 8-pin PCI-E Power connectors. The maximum power consumption is estimated at 250 watts.

The card has no I / O ports, it is designed only for mining, so over time it will be quite difficult to sell it.

Experts suggest that the cost of the Nvidia P102-100 will be lower than that of its counterpart – the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti, but the exact figure has not yet been named.

Recall that Nvidia representatives announced plans to launch about 300 thousand specialized accelerators on the market specifically for mining cryptocurrencies back in June 2017. Then they noted that the new video accelerators will be deprived of any video outputs, will receive a modified printed circuit board, designed taking into account constant loads, as well as a slightly different cooling system.
