Nvidia prepares the CMP 100HX, based on Volta and capable of reaching about 80MH/s

It seems that Nvidia has some Volta cards left lying around in its inventory, and to try to get rid of them, the company is preparing its new CMP 100HX mining card, based on the Titan V.

Although the Titan V was released more than 4 years ago, it has a great advantage that is the use of HBM memories, having a large memory bandwidth, which is the most important factor when mining. Thanks to this bandwidth, the CMP 100HX would reach about 80MH/s with a TDP of 250W, something similar to what the Titan V on which it is based can reach.

The first photos of this CMP 100HX show that it has exactly the same PCB as the Titan V, although it uses a very strange cooling system, with four heatpipes that protrude above and then go through the heatsink vertically, instead of going through it horizontally as shown. get used to normally. We also see that it has an 8-pin power connector plus a 6-pin one, and that it maintains the NVLink connectors, which are possibly disabled since they do not bring any benefit when mining, and the card is blocked for other tasks.

It is not yet known when it will go on sale (or if it is even already on sale), or what its price will be, although it is possible that not many units will be sold since the public that may be interested in this product is very small. If we have more news, we will be expanding, so keep an eye on HD Technology.

What do you think about this CMP 100HX based on the Titan V? Do you think this release makes any sense?
