NVIDIA releases firmware to fix bugs on the RTX 3080ti and 3060

After many user complaints about RTX graphics with the DisplayID, the company has taken action on the matter and NVIDIA releases a firmware to fix bugs on the RTX 3080ti and 3060.

After the complaints that have been seen both in forums and in the official NVIDIA, NVIDIA saw how the problem of the DisplayID was the cause, as it caused the screen to go blank, and they finally came up with the solution, an update of the vBIOS.

At first the problem is reported for the graphs RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3060Although if you have other models and suffer the same problem, better report it in the official NVIDIA forums so that they can solve it as soon as possible.

The DisplayID specification provides enhanced display capabilities. To ensure compatibility with monitors that use DisplayID, an NVIDIA GPU firmware update may be required:

Without it, computers connected to a monitor’s DisplayPort port using DisplayID may experience blank screens until the OS starts. This update should only be installed if those blank screens appear during startup.

The update tool will detect if it is necessary or not; if so, the user will be given the option to install it.

For a blank screen, try one of the following solutions to run the tool:

• Start using DVI or HDMI as ports.
• Start using a separate monitor.
• Change the boot mode to Legacy.
• Boot using built-in graphics.

Once the tool has been downloaded, run it and follow the instructions. Before running, check that all applications are closed and that there are no pending Windows updates in the background.
