Nvidia will reveal “next-gen consumer GPU” at Hot Chips 30

The list of presentations at this year’s Hot Chips 30 symposium revealed that the first details about “next-generation consumer GPU”From Nvidia we will meet later this summer.

Stuart Oberman will speak at Hot Chips 30 on Nvidia’s next big project. At the moment, we have practically no information on this subject, and the company itself does not make this matter much easier for us. No codenames have been disclosed in the public list, so we also have no idea whether the next-gen mainstream graphics cards will be based on an existing architecture or something completely new. We can expect a refreshment of the worn-out Pascals, truncated Volt circuits or the hitherto undisclosed Ampere or Turing.

The presentation itself will not be public and will take place in 81 days, i.e. on August 20. This also indicates the release date of the upcoming GeForce 2000/1100, about which we have written to you more than once.
