A report from mydrivers states that The GeForce RTX 4090 will cost $1,899 at launchwhich is a $400 increase over the RTX 3090 and would theoretically be up to twice as fast.
New generation graphics cards the GeForce RTX 40 series will launch in the second half of this year, possibly in August. These GPUs will double the number of shaders, going from 10,496 in the RTX 3090 to an incredible 18,432 FP32 cores in the RTX 4090. Various reports claim that these next-gen GPUs will be priced well above their predecessors. However, no official figures have appeared to date.
Considering the higher cost of TSMC’s 5nm semiconductors and GDDR6X memory, these prices aren’t too bad for enthusiasts and gamers, especially considering the generational performance boost. The higher power consumption (up to 600 W) also means that these GPUs will be equipped with VRM and higher quality componentswhich also forces an increase in both the list of materials and the retail price.
It is important to keep in mind that although the information seems quite accurate, everything is based on rumors until it is officially confirmed. And rumors have to be taken with a grain of salt. Hopefully there will be more official information about it soon. We will keep you informed of any news that arises.
